Find archive mails: You will see your all mails there including inbox. You may be able to see your missing Gmail message as soon as you open the Trash folder. Use Gmail Search to Retrieve Deleted Emails from Gmail. Notice that the words in:trash appear in the search bar. Click on ‘all mails’ option: Scroll down and click on ‘all mails’ option. TL DR: Skip down if you only want the solution. If you open “All Mail”, the time stamp for each message is the time of arrival, not the date of archival, so everything is mixed up together.
